While Bill Monroe may have been “The Father of Bluegrass," the sound that we associate with Monroe’s mandolin came from Lloyd Loar. As one of the most fabled names in American instrument making history, we dedicate this festival to the memory of Lloyd Allayre Loar.
Please join as we continue to make Bluegrass Music history in Lloyd Loar's hometown! Festival Schedule (Gates open Friday noon - Sunday noon) Friday - Stage Show 7 pm Saturday - Open Stage - 12pm & 6pm Stage Shows - 1pm & 7pm *Sunday - Gospel jam 9am General Information * Bluegrass jamming all weekend * Primitive camping = No service (1st come 1st served) *Shows rain or shine. *Bring lawn chairs/umbrellas. *Free will donation.
We are excited to present a variety of musicians including: Bluegrass Boys & Barnyard Blues & more to be announced.
Instrument workshops: Phil Belcher - Hammer Dulcimer Al Woods - Fiddle/Bass. More to be announced.
